For the Woman

Hi all.Its been a while since I last posted anything,things have been crazy busy of late but hey better late than never.Today's blog is rather short and sweet but nonetheless close to my heart.

I have always been a feminist,I mean like hard core feminist that absolutely thought  men were the worst kind of humans alive and that a world filled with women would just be awesome...safe to say I don't have that opinion anymore.It was a very long journey for me to really first understand feminism for what it is and secondly to be healed from such a toxic mentality.

See feminism in its truest and purest form is not an empowerment of women but rather an imitation of masculinity.Feminist are so busy trying to be men's equals that they somehow lose the beauty of being a woman.Feminist make women feel  that the role they play in society is subservient and unimportant.The things that were always the crowning glory of women have become our shame.Being a mother and raising a family is frowned upon by feminist and make women who choose to raise families seem weak and lack ambition,but I think its safe to say that it takes a strong woman to raise a sound and healthy family, it takes a strong woman to put the needs of her family above her own, it takes a strong woman to be constantly on her knees in prayer for her family.

The children we as women raise,the values we teach them are vital for a sound society.See the problems we have in society are a direct result of broken homes.God has entrusted us women with raising a God fearing generation,but feminist attacks the very thing God created us for.It labels it as man trying to oppress the woman,somehow we have confused what it means to be a strong woman and to stand up for ourselves with trying to be men.

I am a woman,I am a PROUD woman,I take pride in the role God designed for me. See feminism is an idea of the world not of God and should not be found in the church.In proverbs 31 God explains the perfect woman according to His design and there is nothing weak about her,she does not need to imitate the man to define her femininity,she knows the authority God gave her and she walks with it in pride.The proverbs 31 woman is both a homemaker and entrepreneur (so we can't accuse the bible of saying women should not work ).

True "feminism" is embracing who we are as women ,we are equal to men but we are not the same.I don't need to run around proving that I can do something better than a man,because just as we have a unique role in God's plan so do men.And just as they can't do what God uniquely designed women to do,so we can not do what God UNIQUELY designed men to do.

If I am ever in doubt about anything in life I go to my one source of truth,the word of God.There is not one answer in life that God does not provide a sound answer for in His word,we just have to take the time to search His heart and His word....
.
So for the ladies that think that God wants to oppress us, here is Proverbs 31.Read through it with understanding and take pride in being a woman of God:

Proverbs 31

Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character

10 [b]A wife of noble character who can find?
    She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
    and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
    and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
    bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
    she provides food for her family
    and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
    out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
    her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
    and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
    and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
    and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
    for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
    she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
    where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
    and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
