Blushes,crushes and everything inbetween
So today I went out for lunch with my mum and we bump into a guy friend of mine she has never met before. She thought he was the most handsome guy she has ever seen and could not understand how we are not dating.
The whole situation left me blushing and at a loss for words.Firstly I did not expect that from my mum and secondly she made me view this friend in a different light.Honestly I have never considered dating this guy,I am not blind to him being attractive but still....
So here I was thinking "why have we never dated?" and before I could even answer myself I stopped and realised that that was a really silly question to ask myself,he is not in God's plan for me and that was answer enough (lol and he never showed any interest anyway, hihihi).
Sometimes other people can quickly derail you from God's plan, not that they intended to do that, but one simple comment can get your head spinning in all directions. That is why its so important to be grounded in Christ, to always a line your thoughts and hopes and dreams with His will.
You see its not always easy to stay grounded and patiently wait for the promises of God.When you are surrounded by people who seem to be moving faster in life than you are, you tend to wonder "Well Lord when is it my turn?".I have asked that questions so many times and sometimes I am answered by silence and on other occasions by "in My time".Those are not the answers we want to hear, but that's all God needs you know for now.Its OK to want to be with someone, its OK to want that new job,its OK to want to get that promotion, but don't let those wants become gods in your life.
Don't get distracted by what is going on around you ,but focus on what God is doing inside you. There is no burden he has given us that we are not able to bear.Just because God stretches us does not mean we will tear or break. He knows what the end result of our obedience is and if we can be patient enough to wait for it,He will go far beyond our expectations.
We have to trust God, so that we may be deeply rooted in Him and not easily swayed.
