PUSH-PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS

I love what PUSH stands for it really grabs the essence of prayer life so nicely.

I am currently reading the book of Daniel and it inspired me to write this post

Daniel 10:13 "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia."

I have never really studied the meaning of this verse or for that matter completely understood its relevance in my life.To me it was just another fascinating story in the bible,something that made me feel "well at least I read my Bible today".When I read this verse once again during my quiet time, the meaning and implications of this verse really dawned on me.

Now just for some background, in  the previous chapter of this book Daniel prayed and fasted to God.He did not eat any food of "taste for 21 days" until God would answer his prayer.Here in Daniel 10 we see why it took so long for Daniel to hear from God.The angel that carried God's answer to Daniel was delayed by 21 days!!!!And why was he delayed?He was fighting in the spiritual realm against opposition to deliver the message

So many times we pray to God and expect an immediate answer.We treat God like a genie and expect him to let things happen just because we asked for it.However we are entering the spiritual realm, therefore different rules apply than in our physical world.At times we do not understand the war we wage when we earnestly pray.The enemy does not want to see your prayers answered therefore he will attack the messenger.Our persistent prayer shows not a lack of faith but a display of faith.In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 we are instructed to pray without ceising,because God knows the spiritual battle that takes place when we pray.

The enemy hates a praying christian and will put much effort in stopping your prayer life.He knows that even a simple delay in response of  our prayers can dishearten us from seeking God in prayer.Our prayer carry great power because we open the gate way for God to release His spiritual blessings into our lives.

Don't let a delay in your prayers make you believe your being denied an answer,because you never know the war that is being waged to get it to you.

So PUSH your answer is on its way!
